Many exhibitors, one country, one team

A country pavilion gathers many companies — usually a trade mission, a chamber of commerce, an export body or a government promotion agency — under a single national identity on the show floor. Instead of a scatter of small, disconnected booths, a pavilion presents a country or a sector as one coordinated destination, with shared branding, a welcome desk, hospitality and individual exhibitor pods.

When companies from one country exhibit individually, they compete for attention and dilute the national message. A pavilion does the opposite: it concentrates presence and presents a unified front that organisers, buyers and media notice. Shared hospitality, meeting rooms and a press area serve every exhibitor without each paying for their own, and build, graphics and logistics are bought once for the whole pavilion, which lowers the cost per exhibitor.

SOL Dubai designs and builds country pavilions in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and across the GCC, coordinating many sub-exhibitors, the organiser and the venue from a single project office. We have delivered pavilions for trade missions and government bodies at expos around the region, producing the fabrication and large-format graphics in our own Dubai facility for consistent quality across the whole floor.

The organiser, the venue and every sub-exhibitor deal with one team, not twenty separate suppliers. That single point of contact removes the cross-talk and finger-pointing that derail multi-exhibitor projects, and lets the delegation simply turn up and exhibit.

What We Build

What a country pavilion includes

A pavilion is planned as a destination to move through, not a wall of stands.

Welcome & reception

An open front that draws traffic in and orients visitors the moment they arrive.

Central majlis / hospitality

A shared lounge where conversations and relationship-building happen.

Meeting rooms

Private space for scheduled business, briefings and delegation meetings.

Exhibitor pod grid

A consistent grid of pods sized to each company’s needs within one frame.

Signage gantry & wayfinding

Overhead national identity and clear routes to every company and sector.

Press / briefing area

A corner for announcements, media moments and delegation protocol.

How It Works

How we plan, build and run your pavilion

The hard part of a pavilion is coordination — our process is built around the many briefs that converge on one deadline.

  1. Brief & exhibitor intake — we gather requirements from every sub-exhibitor and the organiser, then standardise them into one pod specification so twenty briefs become a single buildable plan.
  2. Masterplan & zoning — we lay out the pavilion as a destination — welcome desk, shared hospitality, meeting rooms, a press area and a consistent pod grid with clear wayfinding.
  3. Identity & 3D design — one visual system — national colours, typography, signage and lighting — is applied across the whole pavilion so it reads as one country, not separate stands.
  4. Approvals & logistics — we handle venue submissions for large island and raised elements, rigging for hanging signage, power distribution across pods, and the delivery sequence for all exhibitors.
  5. Build & graphics — fabrication and large-format graphics are produced in our Dubai facility, which keeps quality consistent and lets us absorb late changes from individual exhibitors.
  6. On-site management & teardown — we run a project office on the floor through build-up and every show day — one contact for the organiser, the venue and every exhibitor — then dismantle and store.
Why SOL Dubai

Why a pavilion beats separate stands

The build is the easy part. The challenge of a pavilion is coordination. Twenty exhibitors means twenty briefs, twenty logos, twenty delivery schedules and twenty sets of expectations, all converging on one immovable deadline. Left unmanaged, that is where pavilions unravel.

We run a single project office that collects each exhibitor’s requirements, standardises the pod specification, manages the master graphics and sequences delivery so the pavilion goes up in the right order. Each company keeps the elements that matter to it, while the shared structure, branding and services stay consistent — so the pavilion reads as one country while every business still gets its own clearly marked space.

Insider Tips

Getting a pavilion right

CD
Carlos Dalè
General Manager, SOL Dubai — stand design & build
01

Standardise the pod spec

Turn many individual briefs into one repeatable pod specification — it is the difference between a coordinated pavilion and chaos.

02

Design wayfinding early

Visitors should know within seconds which country they are in and where to find a company. That clarity is a design decision, not late signage.

03

Brief every exhibitor once

Collect each company’s requirements through one intake so nothing is missed and the master graphics stay consistent.

04

Plan delivery sequencing

Sequence each exhibitor’s materials to the floor in the right order so the pavilion builds without gridlock.

Experience

Pavilions across Dubai & the GCC

We design, build and coordinate national and sector pavilions for the region’s organising bodies.

Pavilion work almost always sits with an organising body rather than a single brand. We regularly build for trade missions and export promotion agencies bringing a national delegation to a Dubai show, chambers of commerce presenting their members, embassies and consulates supporting commercial diplomacy, and industry associations or regional clusters grouping companies by sector.

Alongside national pavilions we build sector pavilions that group companies by industry — healthcare suppliers at a medical show, food and beverage producers at a sourcing expo, technology firms at a regional event. The coordination discipline is identical; only the unifying theme changes from a flag to a category. Trade-mission pavilions add protocol: scheduled meetings, media moments and reporting back to the body that funded the trip, all built into the plan from the start.

A national pavilion in Dubai starts from AED 3,200 per square metre at flagship scale, with the figure shaped by the number of pods, the level of shared hospitality, hanging structures and the overall floor area. Smaller modular pavilions for compact delegations can start lower. Share your delegation size, show and brief and we return a free 3D concept with a fixed, itemised quotation.

FAQ

Country pavilion questions

What is a country pavilion at an exhibition?
A country pavilion is a single large stand that groups many companies from one nation under a shared national identity, usually organised by a trade mission, chamber or government body. Instead of separate booths, it presents the country as one coordinated destination with shared branding, a welcome desk, hospitality and individual exhibitor pods, giving buyers and media one recognisable national space.
Who organises a country pavilion?
Pavilions are typically led by an organising body rather than one company — trade missions and export agencies, chambers of commerce, embassies and consulates, and industry associations or clusters. SOL Dubai acts as the single design, build and coordination partner for that body, managing every sub-exhibitor, the organiser and the venue from one project office.
How do you coordinate many exhibitors in one pavilion?
We run a single project office that collects each exhibitor’s requirements, standardises the pod specification, manages the master graphics and sequences delivery so the pavilion is built in the right order. Each company keeps the elements that matter to it while the shared structure, branding and services stay consistent, and the organiser deals with one team throughout.
How much does a country pavilion cost in Dubai?
A national pavilion typically starts from AED 3,200 per square metre at flagship scale, because of its size, shared hospitality and the multi-exhibitor coordination involved. Smaller modular pavilions for compact delegations can start lower. The figure depends on the number of pods, central hospitality, hanging structures and total floor area. We provide a fixed, itemised quote once we know your delegation size and show.
Can each company keep its own branding?
Yes. We design one consistent national visual system — colours, typography, signage and lighting — then give each exhibitor a clearly marked pod within that frame. Individual company branding lives inside the shared identity rather than competing with it, and wayfinding helps visitors find the specific company or sector they came for.
Do you handle venue approvals and rigging for pavilions?
Yes. Pavilions are large, so big island layouts, raised features and overhead signage need venue submissions, and rigging for hanging structures must be booked and certified through the venue. We manage those approvals, plan power distribution across every pod, and sequence deliveries so each exhibitor’s materials reach the floor in the right order.
How early should we plan a country pavilion?
Pavilions need more lead time than a single stand because of the coordination, approvals and number of exhibitors. For a major Dubai show, begin planning 10 to 12 weeks ahead so we can run exhibitor intake, finalise the masterplan, lodge venue submissions and produce the build. Larger pavilions with many pods and hanging structures benefit from starting earlier.
Do you build pavilions outside Dubai?
Yes. We design and build pavilions across the GCC, including Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha and Muscat, and coordinate the approval and logistics requirements of each venue. Our Dubai facility produces the fabrication and large-format graphics, keeping quality consistent across the pavilion wherever the show is held.
