A Dubai exhibition stand contractor that builds in-house

Most exhibitors do not want to brief a designer in one place, a workshop in another and a logistics firm in a third. They want a single contractor who owns the result. That is what SOL Dubai is — an exhibition stand designer, builder and contractor under one roof in Dubai, so the people who draw your stand are the same people who fabricate it, install it and stand behind it on the show floor.

Being the contractor, not only the designer, changes how a project runs. When the booth is cut, welded, printed and wired in our own Dubai facility, there is no quality drift between a render and the finished structure, and no gap in accountability when something needs to change two days before doors open. You brief one project manager, approve one 3D design, sign one fixed quotation and watch one team carry it from drawing to dismantling.

We build for brands exhibiting at Dubai World Trade Centre, Expo Centre Sharjah and ADNEC, as well as across Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha and Muscat. Whether you need a 9 sqm shell-scheme upgrade or a 200 sqm island stand with a meeting room and a double-deck, the same in-house discipline and the same fixed, all-inclusive quote apply.

There is also a practical reason the contractor model matters in Dubai specifically: the market is crowded and fast. Shows run back-to-back at Dubai World Trade Centre, build-up windows are tight, and venue rules on height, rigging and Civil Defence approval are strict and non-negotiable. A contractor who designs, fabricates and installs in-house can move at that pace because nothing waits on a third party — drawings, production and approvals all run inside one team. That is why exhibitors who have been burned once by a trader who over-promised and sub-let tend to switch to a builder who owns the work, and stay.

What We Build

Every kind of exhibition stand, made to order

From reusable modular systems to architectural custom builds, our Dubai workshop produces the full range, designed around your brand and the way visitors move through a stand.

Custom exhibition stands

Fully bespoke booths engineered around your brand and visitor journey, with premium materials, integrated AV and feature lighting.

Modular & reusable stands

Customisable systems that deliver a premium look at a lower per-sqm cost and travel from show to show.

Double-decker stands

Two-storey structures that roughly double your usable floor area, with engineering, approvals and certification handled.

Country & brand pavilions

Large multi-zone pavilions holding several sub-exhibitors under one cohesive identity.

Shell-scheme upgrades

Turn a basic shell space into a branded presence with graphics, flooring, lighting and storage.

Kiosks & displays

Compact booths, retail kiosks and pop-up displays to the same fabrication standard as our custom builds.

How It Works

From brief to dismantling, managed by one team

Our process is built around removing surprises — you always know what the stand will look like, what it will cost and when it will be ready before a single panel is cut.

  1. Brief & concept — we learn your show, space, goals and budget, then return a 3D concept and an itemised fixed quotation within 48–72 working hours.
  2. Design & approval — we refine the 3D design with you, then prepare the structural drawings and the approval documents your venue requires.
  3. In-house fabrication — carpentry, metalwork, printing, graphics and electrics are produced in our Dubai workshop under one quality standard.
  4. Pre-build check — larger stands are assembled and reviewed before they ship, so what you approved on screen is what arrives at the hall.
  5. Installation — our crew installs during the venue build-up window and a supervisor signs the stand off ready for your team.
  6. On-site & teardown — a supervisor stays through every show day for touch-ups and changes, then manages dismantling and optional storage.
Why SOL Dubai

Owned fabrication beats sub-contracting

Many companies that call themselves stand builders in Dubai are really traders — they win the project, then sub-let the fabrication to a third-party workshop. The booth is only ever as good as a supplier they do not control, and when timelines tighten they have no extra capacity to call on. SOL Dubai works the opposite way.

Our Dubai facility handles every trade that goes into a booth: carpentry and joinery for walls, counters and furniture; metalwork for rigging, double-deck frames and hanging banners; large-format print and graphics for lightboxes, vinyl and signage; and electrical and AV integration for lighting, screens and live product displays.

Keeping all of this under one roof gives us three things a trading contractor cannot promise: consistent quality, because the same team owns every stage; control of cost, because there is no middle-man margin stacked on the build; and the ability to absorb urgent timelines, because our own workshop capacity is ours to schedule.

Insider Tips

Getting the most from your stand builder

01

Appoint early

The best production slots and the most design iterations go to early bookers. Allow six to eight weeks for a custom stand and eight to twelve for major shows in peak season.

02

Brief tightly

Share your show, hall, stand number, dimensions, objectives and brand assets up front. The more we know before designing, the fewer change-orders appear later.

03

Ask who actually builds

Ask any Dubai contractor whether they fabricate in-house or sub-let. Owned capacity is what protects your timeline when something has to change days before the show.

04

Plan for the paperwork

Height limits, rigging and Civil Defence approvals differ by venue. We handle submissions, but they should be factored into the timeline early.

Where We Build

Stands for every major Dubai & UAE show

We are regular contractors across the region’s biggest exhibitions, so we already know each venue’s build-up rules, rigging limits and approval paperwork.

Our team builds at shows including GITEX Global, Gulfood, Arab Health (WHX), Big 5 Global, Beautyworld Middle East, Intersec, AEEDC, Middle East Energy and WETEX, across venues including Dubai World Trade Centre, Expo Centre Sharjah and ADNEC in Abu Dhabi. If your show is not listed, it almost certainly still falls within the venues and regulations we work with every season.

Beyond the headline shows, we build regularly for the dozens of mid-size sector exhibitions and conferences that fill the Dubai calendar year-round — in technology, food, healthcare, construction, beauty, security and energy. Whatever the sector and whatever the hall, the in-house process and the fixed, all-inclusive quote are the same.

FAQ

Exhibition stand builder & contractor questions

What does an exhibition stand contractor in Dubai actually do?
A stand contractor takes single responsibility for the whole booth: 3D design, fabrication, graphics, electrics, AV, logistics, installation, supervision during the show, then dismantling. SOL Dubai performs each of these in-house, so you brief one accountable partner rather than coordinating a designer, a workshop and a logistics firm separately.
How much does it cost to build an exhibition stand in Dubai?
Modular stands start around AED 950 per square metre, custom builds from AED 1,650, premium custom from AED 2,400, and double-decker or pavilion structures from AED 3,200. A 18 sqm modular booth typically lands near AED 17,000, while a bespoke 50 sqm island stand is usually AED 95,000 upward depending on materials, AV and finishing.
Do you have your own fabrication workshop in Dubai?
Yes. SOL Dubai runs a fully owned workshop in Dubai covering carpentry, metalwork, large-format printing, graphics, electrical and AV integration. Building in-house gives us direct control over quality and timelines, which trading-only contractors who sub-let fabrication cannot match.
Which Dubai exhibitions do you build for?
We are regular contractors at GITEX Global, Gulfood, Arab Health (WHX), Big 5 Global, Beautyworld Middle East, Intersec, AEEDC and Middle East Energy. We know the build-up rules at DWTC, Expo Centre Sharjah and ADNEC, and prepare the stand drawings and approvals each venue requires.
How early should I appoint a stand builder before my show?
For custom stands, six to eight weeks before the show is comfortable; for major shows during peak season, eight to twelve weeks is safer. Modular booths can usually be confirmed three to four weeks out.
Can you build a stand from our existing design?
Yes. We build to your existing 3D design or your global brand stand guidelines, value-engineer it for the Dubai venue and local regulations, and produce it in our workshop.
Do you provide on-site supervision during the exhibition?
Yes. A SOL Dubai supervisor is present through build-up, every show day and dismantling, handling touch-ups, electrical fixes and last-minute requests on the floor.
Do you build outside Dubai?
Yes. We deliver across the GCC including Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha and Muscat, and support brands exhibiting in Europe and the USA through our sister offices.
