Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2027 at a glance

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) is one of the world's largest sustainability gatherings, hosted by Masdar at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. The 2027 edition runs 10–14 January 2027. ADSW is an umbrella week bringing together the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) — its exhibition centrepiece — the ADSW Summit, the Zayed Sustainability Prize, Youth 4 Sustainability and dedicated forums on water, finance and the Global South.

Running since 2008, ADSW convenes heads of state, ministers, investors, innovators and operators across renewables, clean energy, hydrogen, water, climate technology and sustainable mobility, with tens of thousands of participants from across the world. If your focus is the energy and exhibition centrepiece, see also our dedicated World Future Energy Summit stand page; this page covers the broader ADSW platform.

ADSW is the one show where the sustainability of your stand is itself a statement to the audience. SOL Dubai builds across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, designing ADSW stands using reusable systems and responsible materials, and handling ADNEC approvals, cross-emirate logistics and installation as one service.

What an ADSW stand has to do

At a sustainability event, the stand carries a message before a word is spoken. An audience focused on decarbonisation, clean energy and responsible development notices how a stand is built — whether it uses reusable structures and responsible materials, or whether it is wasteful single-use construction. A genuinely sustainable build reinforces your message; a wasteful one quietly undermines it.

Beyond the sustainability statement, ADSW is where major green-investment deals and government partnerships are formed, so the stand has to present technology credibly and provide serious meeting and hospitality space for high-level conversations. The strongest ADSW stands combine a demonstrably sustainable build with clear technology presentation and substantial meeting space. We design for both.

Our ADSW stand build process

Every Abu Dhabi project runs through our disciplined eight-stage process, with sustainability considered throughout:

  1. Discovery and brief — we map your technology, sustainability priorities, meeting and hospitality requirements and budget, and confirm hall, stand number and dimensions at ADNEC.
  2. Concept and 3D design — photorealistic visuals and a floor plan balancing a sustainable build, technology presentation and meeting space, with reusable systems specified where possible.
  3. Costing and approval — a fixed, fully itemised quotation covering structure, materials and cross-emirate logistics.
  4. Venue approvals and technical drawings — structural and electrical submissions prepared for ADNEC approval.
  5. Fabrication — reusable structures, responsibly chosen finishes and branding built and quality-checked under our control.
  6. Pre-build and QA — trial assembly, graphics fitting and electrical testing before transport.
  7. On-site installation — supervised build at ADNEC during official build-up, handed over show-ready.
  8. Show-day support and dismantling — standby team on call in Abu Dhabi, then clean dismantling, with reusable elements recovered for future use.

Materials and construction

ADSW stands are an opportunity to practise what the show preaches. We build using reusable modular and engineered structures that can be recovered and redeployed rather than discarded; responsibly chosen materials and finishes; and energy-efficient LED lighting throughout. Reusable systems reduce waste and, over multiple shows, cost — a message that resonates with this audience.

Branding is delivered through tension-fabric graphics (which are reusable and recyclable), timber-framed walls and clean finishes, with screens presenting clean-technology capability. Raised platform flooring conceals services, and the overall approach lets you stand on an ADSW floor having genuinely minimised the waste of your own presence.

Sustainability-sector stand requirements

ADSW exhibitors carry a distinctive need: a stand whose own construction reflects their sustainability message, using reusable structures, responsible materials and energy-efficient lighting rather than wasteful single-use build. Beyond that, they need credible technology presentation, and substantial meeting and hospitality space for the high-level investment and government conversations ADSW is built around.

We design for all of it — a demonstrably sustainable, reusable build, clear clean-technology presentation, and serious meeting and hospitality space — and we manage the ADNEC approval and cross-emirate logistics an Abu Dhabi build requires. Reusable structures also let you carry a consistent, responsible presence across ADSW, the co-located WFES and other sustainability events.

Stand options and pricing

We build every ADSW format. Upgraded shell-scheme packages suit smaller exhibitors needing a clean, responsible presence and a meeting point. Custom single-storey stands give you a bespoke, sustainable layout with technology presentation and meeting and hospitality areas. Larger pavilion and double-decker stands suit major energy and technology brands and government entities wanting extensive presentation and an upstairs hospitality floor for high-level meetings.

Custom ADSW stand design and build starts from AED 1,650 per square metre, with the final figure shaped by size, structure, the level of reusable specification, meeting and hospitality space, cross-emirate logistics, AV and branding. Every quotation is fixed and itemised, and full-service delivery gives you one accountable team handling design, build and the Abu Dhabi logistics from concept through dismantling.

Why sustainability brands choose SOL Dubai for Abu Dhabi

We are a UAE exhibition stand builder that designs and builds across the Emirates, including Abu Dhabi, handling ADNEC stands start to finish — design, fabrication, the venue approval process, cross-emirate logistics and on-site installation. Sustainable, reusable builds that let a clean-technology brand practise what it preaches are exactly the kind of work our in-house team is set up for.

Clients get in-house build quality, a single accountable team, reusable systems that reduce waste and long-term cost, and a price that holds from quotation to final invoice. For energy, cleantech and sustainability brands at one of the world's foremost sustainability platforms, our local presence and full-service control keep a values-conscious Abu Dhabi build predictable and on budget.

Building at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi: the rules that shape your Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2027 stand

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2027 is held at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi in Abu Dhabi, and ADNEC runs its own technical framework — the Abu Dhabi Municipality Code of Construction Safety Practice and OSHAD — separate from Dubai’s. Materials and approvals that pass at DWTC aren’t automatically valid here, so we design and certify to ADNEC’s rules from the first sketch.

Approval framework

Stands must comply with ADNEC’s Rules & Regulations, the Abu Dhabi Municipality construction-safety code and OSHAD. We prepare the drawings and obtain the approvals before build-up.

Complex structures

ADNEC treats anything over 4m, double-decker, or with a platform of 600mm or more — or any non-standard design — as a complex structure needing engineer-stamped structural calculations and approval before build.

Double-deckers

A two-storey stand needs certified structural calculations, a displayed maximum-occupancy figure, a health-and-safety plan and code-compliant staircases. ADNEC’s main halls run to around 18m clear, so tall feature builds are possible with the right sign-off.

Fire-rated materials

All materials must be fire-rated to UAE standards, and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence inspects on site. We certify materials and complete finishes in our workshop, so the on-site crew assembles rather than fabricates.

Electrical, rigging & loads

Rigging and hanging loads, floor-load capacities and electrical supply are all controlled and ordered through ADNEC’s systems ahead of tenancy. We design within the limits and order it for you.

Contractor registration

ADNEC has its own contractor-registration system, separate from DWTC, and PPE is mandatory. We carry the accreditation and handle the registration.

Deadlines

Structural, electrical and rigging submissions run weeks ahead of build-up and late orders are surcharged. We lock your window and order venue services at the advance rate.

01

ADNEC is its own framework

Materials and approvals that pass at DWTC aren’t automatically valid at ADNEC, so we re-certify to the Abu Dhabi construction-safety code and OSHAD rather than assuming a Dubai stand will clear as-is.

02

Know what counts as complex

ADNEC treats anything over 4m, double-decker, or with a platform of 600mm or more as complex, needing engineer-stamped calculations before build. We flag it at design stage so the structural file is ready, not a surprise.

03

Civil Defence inspects on site

Abu Dhabi Civil Defence inspects during build-up, so we complete and inspect finishes in our workshop and the on-site crew assembles an approved build.

04

Use the height — with sign-off

ADNEC’s main halls run to around 18m clear, so tall feature builds and double-deckers are possible. We design them in from the first sketch with the structural sign-off built into the timeline.

Common mistakes, in order of frequency

  1. An oversized logo on the back wall that crowds out the one-line proposition a buyer reads in three seconds.
  2. The same graphic on the front and side panels of an inline stand — the aisle-facing side panel is your most wasted surface.
  3. A counter or sign at the very front that blocks the sightline into the stand and stops buyers stepping in.
  4. Under-ordering power — no 24-hour supply for fridges, screens or live demos, so the stand isn’t ready on opening morning.
  5. Leaving structural, rigging and electrical orders until after the venue deadlines and paying avoidable surcharges.

When and where is Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2027?
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2027 runs from 10 to 14 January 2027 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, hosted by Masdar. ADSW is an umbrella week bringing together the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) as its exhibition centrepiece, the ADSW Summit, the Zayed Sustainability Prize, Youth 4 Sustainability and forums on water, finance and the Global South. Running since 2008, it convenes heads of state, ministers, investors and innovators across renewables, hydrogen, water and climate technology, with tens of thousands of participants. If your focus is specifically the energy exhibition, see our World Future Energy Summit page; this page covers the broader ADSW platform. SOL Dubai builds at ADNEC and handles the cross-emirate logistics and approvals for you.
Can you build a genuinely sustainable, reusable stand?
Yes — and at ADSW it matters more than anywhere. This audience is focused on decarbonisation and responsible development, and they notice whether a stand reflects those values or contradicts them with wasteful single-use construction. We build using reusable modular and engineered structures that can be recovered and redeployed, responsibly chosen materials and finishes, reusable and recyclable tension-fabric graphics, and energy-efficient LED lighting throughout. Reusable systems reduce waste and, across multiple shows, cost. We design these in from the start so your stand makes a credible sustainability statement rather than undermining your message, and we recover reusable elements at dismantling for future use.
How is this different from the World Future Energy Summit page?
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is the umbrella platform; the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) is the energy-focused exhibition at its centre, and we have a dedicated page for WFES stands as well. If your priority is the energy and clean-tech exhibition floor specifically, the WFES page is the most relevant. This page covers the broader ADSW context — useful if you are engaging with the wider week, its summit, forums and high-level meetings beyond the WFES show floor. Either way, the build approach is the same: a demonstrably sustainable, reusable stand with credible technology presentation and serious meeting space, built at ADNEC start to finish by our team.
How much does an ADSW stand cost?
Custom Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week stand design and build with SOL Dubai starts from AED 1,650 per square metre. The final figure is shaped by the size of your space, structure, the level of reusable and responsible specification, the amount of meeting and hospitality space, cross-emirate logistics to Abu Dhabi, AV and branding. A compact responsible stand sits near the entry rate, while a large energy-brand or government pavilion with extensive presentation and hospitality costs more. Reusable structures can reduce cost across multiple sustainability shows. We provide a fixed, fully itemised quotation once we understand your technology and objectives, with the Abu Dhabi logistics built in transparently.
How tall can my Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2027 stand be, and do I need structural approval?
ADNEC treats anything over 4m, double-decker, or with a platform of 600mm or more as a complex structure needing engineer-stamped structural calculations and approval before build. We handle the full submission under ADNEC’s rules and the Abu Dhabi construction-safety code.
Who handles the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi permits and approvals?
We do, start to finish — ADNEC’s technical approval under the Abu Dhabi construction-safety code and OSHAD, with Civil Defence inspection handled on site. You don’t deal with the venue’s technical desk.
Can I get power and 24-hour supply for my stand?
Mains power is supplied through the venue’s appointed electrical contractor and ordered ahead. We design the lighting and power scheme and order it for you, including 24-hour supply where your stand needs it.
Can I hang a banner or lighting rig above my stand?
Yes, but suspended rigging is subject to venue approval and load limits and must be ordered ahead of tenancy. We design within the limits and file the rigging order on time so it’s approved without a last-minute surcharge.
How much does a Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2027 stand cost?
A full-service Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2027 stand starts from AED 950/sqm for a modular build, AED 1,650/sqm for a bespoke custom stand, and AED 2,400/sqm and up for large or double-decker builds. Every quote is fixed and all-inclusive with a free 3D concept.
When is Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2027 and how early should I book?
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2027 runs 10–14 Jan 2027. Because the best stand positions and production slots go early, we recommend starting 8–14 weeks ahead — earlier for a large or double-decker build.
What’s included in a full-service Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2027 stand?
Everything to get you show-ready on one quote: custom 3D design, in-house fabrication and pre-build approval, full graphics, delivery to ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, install and dismantle, ADNEC approvals and OSHAD paperwork, electrical and rigging ordered on your behalf, and a dedicated project manager.
Do you build double-decker stands at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi?
Yes — double-deckers are a specialism. A two-storey stand roughly adds 1.5 times your usable space with an upstairs lounge or meeting floor, and needs certified structural calculations, a displayed maximum-occupancy figure and code-compliant staircases (engineer-stamped calculations under the Abu Dhabi construction-safety code). We engineer, certify and build it in-house.
Do you provide on-site support during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2027?
Yes. Our team is on call across all show days for anything from a graphic touch-up to an electrical or AV fix, and larger stands get a dedicated on-site project lead.
What happens to the stand after Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2027?
We dismantle and clear the space, and can store reusable elements for your next edition and refresh the graphics — so you’re not paying to rebuild from scratch each year.
