Dubai GameExpo Summit 2027 at a glance

The Dubai GameExpo Summit is the business and conference heart of the Dubai Esports & Games Festival (DEF), powered by Pocket Gamer (PG) Connects in partnership with Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). It is the region's key B2B gathering for the games industry. The Summit returns in 2027 after the 2025 edition welcomed over 1,300 attendees; exact 2027 dates will be confirmed by the organiser.

The Summit brings together game publishers, developers, investors and platform holders for conference sessions, an investment summit, developer pitching and the MENA Games Industry Awards, alongside the wider, more consumer-facing GameExpo show floor. Its audience is the decision-making core of the regional and global games business.

Games-industry stands are interactive and high-energy, but the Summit context is also serious B2B. As a Dubai-based stand builder, SOL Dubai builds at DWTC as our home venue, designing stands that demonstrate games and technology engagingly while giving you space to do deals.

What a Dubai GameExpo Summit stand has to do

Games stands have to invite interaction. Whether you are showing a game, a platform or hardware, the stand has to let people play or try the product — hands-on stations, screens, comfortable seating — and project the energy of the games industry. A static, corporate booth misreads the room.

In the Summit's B2B context, the stand also has to support business: meeting space for publisher, investor and partner conversations, and a brand presence that builds credibility with the industry. The strongest GameExpo Summit stands balance interactive, playable demonstration with meeting and networking space. We design for both the play and the business.

Our Dubai GameExpo Summit stand build process

Every Dubai project runs through our disciplined eight-stage process, handled start to finish in-house:

  1. Discovery and brief — we map your games and hardware, the number of play and demo stations, screen and AV needs, meeting requirements and budget, and confirm your space and dimensions at DWTC.
  2. Concept and 3D design — photorealistic visuals and a floor plan balancing interactive play stations, screens, branding and meeting space.
  3. Costing and approval — a fixed, fully itemised quotation covering structure, power, AV and logistics.
  4. Venue approvals and technical drawings — structural and electrical submissions prepared for DWTC approval.
  5. Fabrication — structure, play stations, screen walls and branding built and quality-checked in our own workshop.
  6. Pre-build and QA — trial assembly, AV and gaming-station integration and testing before show build-up.
  7. On-site installation — supervised build at DWTC during official build-up, handed over show-ready.
  8. Show-day support and dismantling — standby team on call, then clean dismantling and clearance.

Materials and construction

Games stands are built for interaction, energy and durability. We build play and demo stations with correctly rated power and data for gaming PCs, consoles and screens; large-format LED and screen walls for trailers, gameplay and branding; and comfortable, durable seating that withstands constant hands-on use.

Branding is bold and high-energy — illuminated logos, dynamic graphics, dramatic lighting — to match the industry, with a meeting or networking area finished for B2B conversations. Raised platform flooring conceals the heavy power and data cabling many stations generate, and durable finishes withstand high footfall across the event.

Games-industry stand requirements

Games exhibitors carry distinctive needs: interactive play and demo stations with the power and data many machines require; large screens and LED for trailers and gameplay; bold, energetic branding; and meeting and networking space for the B2B publisher, investor and partner conversations the Summit is built around. Durability matters with constant hands-on use.

We design for all of it — powered play stations, screen walls, high-energy branding and B2B meeting space — and as a Dubai builder working at DWTC as our home venue, we handle the approvals, fabrication and installation in-house. The result is a stand that draws players in and gives your team space to do business.

Stand options and pricing

We build every Dubai GameExpo Summit format. Compact stands give smaller studios and startups a play station, a screen and a meeting point. Custom single-storey stands give publishers and platforms a bespoke layout with multiple play stations, screen walls and meeting space. Larger and double-decker stands suit major publishers and hardware brands wanting extensive interactive zones and an upstairs meeting or networking floor.

Custom Dubai GameExpo Summit stand design and build starts from AED 1,650 per square metre, with the final figure shaped by the number of play stations and screens, AV, size, structure, branding and meeting space. Every quotation is fixed and itemised, and full-service delivery gives you one accountable team handling design, build and DWTC logistics from concept through dismantling.

Why games brands choose SOL Dubai

We are a Dubai-based exhibition stand builder working at DWTC as our home venue, handling GameExpo Summit stands start to finish — design, fabrication, the venue approval process, AV integration and on-site installation. Interactive, screen-heavy stands with playable stations and B2B meeting space are exactly the kind of work our in-house team is set up for.

Clients get in-house build quality, a single accountable team, and a price that holds from quotation to final invoice. For publishers, studios, platforms and hardware brands at the region's key games-industry gathering, our local presence and full-service control keep an interactive, energetic build predictable and on budget.

Building at Dubai World Trade Centre: the rules that shape your Dubai GameExpo Summit 2027 stand

Dubai GameExpo Summit 2027 is governed by the Dubai World Trade Centre’s own technical regulations. Get them right and your stand goes up cleanly; miss a submission and you lose build time, not just money. We design to all of this from the first sketch and file the paperwork for you.

Permit to Build

Every stand needs a DWTC Stand Permit to Build (PTB) before construction. We prepare and submit it so your build is cleared to start on day one of build-up.

Height & “complex” structures

Standard custom builds work to around 4m. Taller builds and anything DWTC classes as complex — double-deckers, long spans, or stands where the travel distance to an exit exceeds 10m — trigger structural-engineer clearance through DWTC’s Organiser+ portal before the Permit to Build is released, and the engineer can halt an unsafe build on site.

Double-deckers

A two-storey stand needs certified structural calculations, a Double-Deck health-and-safety declaration, a displayed maximum-occupancy figure and code-compliant staircases — at least 1m wide with handrails, and a second staircase once an upper deck passes ~200 sqm or sits over 25m from the stairs.

Electrical power

All mains power is supplied by DWTC’s official Electrical Contractor and ordered in advance — you can’t self-wire mains. We design the scheme and order it, including 24-hour power where your stand needs it.

Rigging & suspended elements

Banners and lighting rigs hung from the hall are subject to DWTC approval and load limits and ordered ahead of tenancy. We prepare and file the rigging submission on time.

Fixings & fire-safe materials

Nothing may be fixed to the floors, walls, ceilings or structural steel, and all materials must be fire-retardant — Perspex is prohibited (Lexan and Macralon are accepted). We complete and inspect finishes in our workshop, so the on-site crew assembles an approved build.

Accreditation & deadlines

Every contractor needs a DWTC Contractor+ digital badge and PPE is mandatory. Structural, rigging and electrical submissions run weeks ahead of build-up, and late orders attract surcharges — we manage the badges and the deadlines.

01

Permit to Build gates everything — file the structural calcs early

At DWTC nothing gets built without a Permit to Build, and for any complex or double-deck stand that permit depends on structural calculations clearing the DWTC engineer. We submit on Organiser+ the week the design is signed off — a late structural file, not the build, is what most often delays a stand.

02

Mains power is DWTC’s to supply — order it, don’t wire it

All mains electrical comes from DWTC’s official contractor and is ordered in advance. We book power — including 24-hour supply where a stand needs it — at the advance rate so nothing is sitting dead on opening morning.

03

Finish in the workshop — Perspex won’t pass

Only fire-retardant materials are allowed and Perspex is specifically prohibited (we use Lexan or Macralon). We complete and inspect every finish at our workshop, so the on-site crew assembles an approved build instead of fabricating in the hall.

04

Lock the slot early

DWTC’s calendar is packed, so build-up slots, rigging and power book out and late orders cost more. We secure your space-only window and order services at the advance rate.

Common mistakes, in order of frequency

  1. An oversized logo on the back wall that crowds out the one-line proposition a buyer reads in three seconds.
  2. The same graphic on the front and side panels of an inline stand — the aisle-facing side panel is your most wasted surface.
  3. A counter or sign at the very front that blocks the sightline into the stand and stops buyers stepping in.
  4. Under-ordering power — no 24-hour supply for fridges, screens or live demos, so the stand isn’t ready on opening morning.
  5. Leaving structural, rigging and electrical orders until after the venue deadlines and paying avoidable surcharges.
FAQ

Dubai GameExpo Summit 2027 stand questions, answered

Real answers with real numbers — including the venue’s build rules. Click any question to expand.

When and where is the Dubai GameExpo Summit 2027?
The Dubai GameExpo Summit is the B2B conference heart of the Dubai Esports & Games Festival, powered by Pocket Gamer (PG) Connects in partnership with Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The Summit returns in 2027 — the 2025 edition welcomed over 1,300 attendees — with exact 2027 dates to be confirmed by the organiser. It brings together game publishers, developers, investors and platform holders for conference sessions, an investment summit, developer pitching and the MENA Games Industry Awards, alongside the wider GameExpo show floor. As a Dubai-based builder working at DWTC as our home venue, SOL Dubai handles your stand start to finish.
Can you build interactive, playable gaming stands?
Yes — it is central to games-industry work. We build play and demo stations with the correctly rated power and data that gaming PCs, consoles and screens need, integrate large-format LED and screen walls for trailers and gameplay, and add comfortable, durable seating that withstands constant hands-on use. We test the gaming stations and AV during pre-build in our workshop before installation, so everything works reliably from the first hour, and a technical standby team stays with you through the event. We balance the interactive zones with meeting and networking space for the Summit's B2B conversations. We plan the number of play stations and the play-versus-business balance with you at the design stage.
How is the GameExpo Summit different from Middle East Games Con?
Both are major UAE gaming events, but they serve different audiences. The Dubai GameExpo Summit, at DWTC, is the B2B business and conference core of the Dubai Esports & Games Festival — publishers, developers and investors doing deals — alongside a consumer GameExpo floor. Middle East Games Con, at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi, is a larger consumer gaming festival focused on fans, tournaments, hardware showcases and pop culture. A games brand might exhibit at both, with a deal-focused stand at the Dubai Summit and a fan-focused, high-energy stand at the Abu Dhabi festival. We build for both — in Dubai at DWTC as our home venue, and in Abu Dhabi at ADNEC — and can tailor each stand to its audience.
How much does a Dubai GameExpo Summit stand cost?
Custom Dubai GameExpo Summit stand design and build with SOL Dubai starts from AED 1,650 per square metre. The final figure is shaped by the number of interactive play and demo stations, the scale of screens and LED, AV, the size of your space, structure, branding and meeting space. A compact studio stand with a couple of play stations sits near the entry rate, while a major publisher's stand with extensive interactive zones, screen walls and a networking floor costs more. We provide a fixed, fully itemised quotation once we understand your games and objectives, and because we design, build and install ourselves, the figure you approve is the figure you pay.
How tall can my Dubai GameExpo Summit 2027 stand be, and do I need structural approval?
Standard custom builds work to around 4m. Taller builds and complex structures — double-deckers, long spans, or stands where the travel distance to an exit exceeds 10m — need structural-engineer clearance through DWTC’s Organiser+ portal before your Permit to Build is released. We prepare and submit the full package in-house.
Who handles the Dubai World Trade Centre permits and approvals?
We do, start to finish. Every stand at DWTC needs a Stand Permit to Build, and complex or double-deck stands need structural calculations cleared by the DWTC engineer first. We prepare the drawings, submit on Organiser+ and manage the approval so you don’t deal with the venue’s technical desk.
Can I get power and 24-hour supply for my stand?
All mains power at DWTC is supplied by the venue’s official Electrical Contractor and ordered in advance — you can’t self-wire mains. We design the scheme and order it, including 24-hour supply for fridges, screens or demos.
Can I hang a banner or lighting rig above my stand?
Yes, but suspended rigging is subject to venue approval and load limits and must be ordered ahead of tenancy. We design within the limits and file the rigging order on time so it’s approved without a last-minute surcharge.
How much does a Dubai GameExpo Summit 2027 stand cost?
A full-service Dubai GameExpo Summit 2027 stand starts from AED 950/sqm for a modular build, AED 1,650/sqm for a bespoke custom stand, and AED 2,400/sqm and up for large or double-decker builds. Every quote is fixed and all-inclusive with a free 3D concept.
When is Dubai GameExpo Summit 2027 and how early should I book?
Dubai GameExpo Summit 2027 returns in 2027 (exact dates to be confirmed). Because the best stand positions and production slots go early, we recommend starting 8–14 weeks ahead — earlier for a large or double-decker build.
What’s included in a full-service Dubai GameExpo Summit 2027 stand?
Everything to get you show-ready on one quote: custom 3D design, in-house fabrication and pre-build approval, full graphics, delivery to Dubai World Trade Centre, install and dismantle, the DWTC Permit to Build and H&S paperwork, electrical and rigging ordered on your behalf, and a dedicated project manager.
Do you build double-decker stands at Dubai World Trade Centre?
Yes — double-deckers are a specialism. A two-storey stand roughly adds 1.5 times your usable space with an upstairs lounge or meeting floor, and needs certified structural calculations, a displayed maximum-occupancy figure and code-compliant staircases (a Double-Deck H&S form and DWTC structural sign-off). We engineer, certify and build it in-house.
Do you provide on-site support during Dubai GameExpo Summit 2027?
Yes. Our team is on call across all show days for anything from a graphic touch-up to an electrical or AV fix, and larger stands get a dedicated on-site project lead.
What happens to the stand after Dubai GameExpo Summit 2027?
We dismantle and clear the space, and can store reusable elements for your next edition and refresh the graphics — so you’re not paying to rebuild from scratch each year.
